Alarm and monitoring systems for natural hazards

Geoprevent develops, installs and operates premium alarm and monitoring systems for natural hazards. We focus on customer-specific and highly reliable solutions. Thanks to our multidisciplinary team we are able to develop, build and install hardware as well as software in-house. This allows us to act fast and implement projects straightforwardly.

We completed more than 450 projects and have currently more than 200 systems up and running, many of them in high mountain environments. Our systems are permanently connected to our servers. We monitor their proper operation and provide you with the current measurement data on our internet portal. Traffic lights, alarm sirens etc. can alert individuals in endangered areas and automatically close roads or railway lines.

Why electronic alarm and monitoring systems?

Rock falls, landslides, debris flows, floods, avalanches and glacial lakes threaten roads, inhabited areas or regions frequented by tourists. In such situations, electronic monitoring systems can often complement or even replace structural measures – usually at a lower cost and certainly with a weaker impact on the alpine scenery. Our multidisciplinary team of physicists, software developers, electrical engineers and electronics technicians develops, installs and operates electronic alarm and monitoring systems for natural hazards, in close cooperation with geologists and engineers. We understand a large variety of instruments and sensors and develop customer specific hardware and software.
