The ISSW (International Snow Science Workshop) is the largest snow and avalanche conference worldwide and takes place every two years in the US, Canada or Europe, alternately. The 22nd edition of the ISSW will be held from 7 to 12 October 2018 in Innsbruck, Austria. For one week, up to 1000 participants from all over the world exchange scientific knowledge and practical experience on snow-related topics. For the first time, the ISSW 2018 features one “public” conference day with expert discussions on mountains and natural hazards from a broader perspective. In addition, the congress is accompanied by a large trade exhibition.
