A picture often conveys more than a thousand measurements. With a single glance into a hazard zone, the responsible authorities can often make an initial assessment of the situation. In addition, innovative high-resolution cameras can be used for the automatic deformation analysis of the monitored area.
GEOPREVENT installs and operates webcams in alpine environments with autonomous power supply and data transmission via GPRS, radio, or cable connections.

Applications

Images can be crucial when assessing a situation. Webcams are used at various monitoring stations and in the context of natural hazards, either as a stand-alone instrument (for example, for deformation analysis) or to complement other alarm and monitoring technologies. To ensure the highest possible image quality, we use cameras with a resolution of up to 40 megapixels. These enable us to detect even the smallest details within the hazard zone.
